LANDSCAPE DESIGN
Purveyors of fine, sustainable gardens
- Specialising in water efficient sustainable designs with plants chosen to work with specific soils and climates. This is the key point to garden design of the future as the plants need to be totally suited to the existing soil type for ongoing longevity of the design.
- Timandra is regarded as one of the leaders in sustainable garden design because of its visionary practices.
- Gaining maximum resale potential for a property is imperative when selecting the style of garden for the house. Advice about this is given to all clients during the consultation process.
- It is imperative to suit the garden to the house i.e. a contemporary home looks better with a complimentary garden, than a cottage garden. Conversely, a cottage needs an old-worldly garden that is not just a mass of grasses.
- Quotations are presented to the client in writing, being comprehensive in detail. These follow from the consultation process, and if the client should choose not to accept the quote, either the conceptual fee or consulation fee will be charged. N.B. no free quotations are provided.
- Timandra Garden Design is conversant with all climatic issues i.e. severe frost, bore water with a high salt content for irrigation, limestone soils, acid soils, coastal extremes i.e. gale force salty winds, reactive clay soils and so on.
- All designs are individual - there is no cloning of style.
- All aspects of landscape design are overseen/managed through project management -
- Minor earthworks if necessary
- Plant selection and planting
- Irrigation and drainage systems
- Supply and spread of mulch
- Ongoing maintenance is recommended for at least 12 months after completion
- Holding a plumber's licence to install garden irrigation, TGD are able to install an irrigation system to divert liquid effluent and greywater as well as water from regular sources.
Certain issues have to be addressed when using effluent and greywater i.e. what types of plants to use, salts within either (affecting plant growth), clay versus sandy soils and how to manage these with diverted effluent/greywater. These are all issues that are not common knowledge which TGD is able to advise about.
